Scope
These terms govern your use of the OCRA Research Exchange, including the Living Lab and Discovery Lab platforms at researchexchange.ocrahope.org. Use of the main OCRA website is governed by separate terms at ocrahope.org/terms. By accessing the Research Exchange, you agree to these terms. OCRA may update them at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance.
Medical Disclaimer
Content on the Research Exchange is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.
Always consult a qualified health professional regarding any medical condition.
In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
Permitted Use
You agree to use the Research Exchange only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the platform
- Interfere with or disrupt services or servers
- Collect information from other users without consent
- Transmit harmful code or malware
User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify OCRA immediately of any unauthorized use.
Living Lab Participation
Participation in the Living Lab patient registry is governed by a separate Informed Consent document, which you must review and sign during enrollment. That document details what data is collected and how it is used, your rights as a research participant, how to withdraw, and applicable data protection measures. These Terms do not supersede that consent.
Research Data Access
Access to research data through the Discovery Lab requires:
- Approval by the Living Lab Governance Committee
- Execution of a Data Use Agreement with OCRA
- Compliance with applicable research ethics requirements
- IRB approval or exemption documentation
Approved researchers access data through the Cirro Bio platform (ocra.cirro.bio), operated by Cirro Bio, Inc. Use of that platform is subject to Cirro Bio's own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By accessing ocra.cirro.bio, you agree to be bound by Cirro Bio's terms in addition to these Terms. OCRA is not liable for the operation, availability, or data practices of the Cirro Bio platform.
Intellectual Property
All content on the Research Exchange — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of OCRA or its content suppliers and protected by U.S. and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written consent from OCRA.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Research Exchange is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. OCRA does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OCRA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Research Exchange. OCRA's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to OCRA, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New York State. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of New York County or the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
