Comparative analysis of Boria’s and Suidan’s predictive models for complete cytoreduction in advanced ovarian cancer using 18F-FDG PET/CT
To validate the authors' previously described score (Boria's predictive score) for predicting complete cytoreduction at primary debulking surgery using A multicentre, observational, retrospective study was undertaken to evaluate patients who underwent primary cytoreductive surgery for advanced ovarian cancer at three Spanish centres between January 2017 and January 2022. Inclusion criteria were: histological confirmation of invasive epithelial ovarian carcinoma; preoperative International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage III or IV; upfront cytoreductive surgery; and In total, 78 patients who had undergone primary debulking surgery and With only four variables, Boria`s predictive score showed comparable accuracy to Suidańs score for predicting complete resection at primary debulking surgery.
