SMART-guided discovery of Sarpagine-type monoterpene indole alkaloids from Rauvolfia vomitoria and the synergistic effects with cisplatin against human ovarian cancer cells
HSQC-based small-molecule accurate recognition technology (SMART) has emerged as an efficient approach to discover structural analogs in crude extracts. In this study, fourteen new sarpagine-type alkaloids, named rauvoines A - N (1-14), as well as twelve described derivatives (15-26), were obtained from the stems of Rauvolfia vomitoria guided by HSQC-based SMART.
