Fibroepithelial polyps typically present as small and limited growths. Accordingly, giant fibroepithelial polyps arising from the female genital tract are extremely rare, and only a few cases have been reported. This report describes a case of a 54-year-old woman with a slowly growing right vulval mass presenting as a polyp. The patient underwent surgical excision, and histopathological examination revealed the diagnosis of a giant fibroepithelial polyp. Through an exhaustive review of the literature published over the past 10 years, we learn that fibroepithelial polyps arising from the female genital tract are rarely seen but only recently have been characterized. Due to its clinical and histologic overlapping characteristics with other external genital tumors, the differential diagnosis and correct management of fibroepithelial polyp become particularly important.
