Circ-HMGCS1, an Indicator of Survival and Prognosis in Cervical Cancer Patients

WenYing Jia & Ping Yuan et al.

The aim was to investigate circ-HMGCS1 expression and its correlation with clinical features and survival in cervical cancer (CC) patients. This prospective study recruited 100 patients with CC who underwent surgical resection. Circ-HMGCS1 expression was measured by RT-qPCR. Disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) were recorded. Circ-HMGCS1 was upregulated in tumor tissues and had a good value in separating tumor tissues from normal tissues. Circ-HMGCS1 expression in tumor tissues was positively correlated with tumor size, lymph node metastasis, and FIGO stage. High circ-HMGCS1 expression predicted worse DFS and OS. circ-HMGCS1 serves as an indicator of survival and prognosis in CC patients.
