LUCAS HELMS & AUBERT AGOSTINI et al.

Endometrial cancer is commonly diagnosed This retrospective bi-centric study (2010-2019) included patients with stage I endometrioid cancer, categorized into three groups according to the diagnostic method: "Blind Biopsy," "Diagnostic Hysteroscopy," and "Operative Hysteroscopy." The primary endpoints were recurrence or death at three and five years following surgical treatment. A total of 169 patients were included; 33 were lost to follow-up at three years. Among the remaining 136, 11 recurrences (8.1%) and six deaths (4.4%) were recorded. The "Operative Hysteroscopy" group had a recurrence rate of 10.4% (7/67), with no significant difference compared to the other groups ( The biopsy diagnostic methods did not have a significant impact on the 3-year prognosis of patients with stage I endometrioid cancer.
