Loss of PFKFB4 induces cell cycle arrest and glucose metabolism inhibition by inactivating MEK/ERK/c-Myc pathway in cervical cancer cells

6-Phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-biphosphatase 4 (PFKFB4) was reported to be necessary for tumour growth in several cancers. However, the function of PFKFB4 in cervical cancer has not been clearly elucidated. Bioinformatics analysis was applied to detect the expression of PFKFB4 in cervical cancer and the association with survival prognosis. The effect of PFKFB4 on cervical cancer cells growth, cycle, invasion, migration and glucose metabolism was investigated by loss-of-function approaches
