Prenatal Ultrasound Diagnosis of Congenital Granular Cell Epulis: A Rare Case Description

ABSTRACTCongenital granulosa cell epulis is a rare benign tumor that occurs in the oral cavity of newborns. It is extremely rare during the fetal period. The incidence of this disease is 6 per million. The lesion often occurs in the maxillary alveolar ridge, and the incidence in women is 8–10 times that of men. This article describes a case of congenital granulosa cell epulis occurring in the fetal mandibular alveolar ridge discovered by prenatal ultrasound. Postpartum surgical intervention was performed, and the pathological results confirmed the ultrasound findings. Prenatal diagnosis of CGCE is of great significance to the clinical management of the disease.
