LncRNA TTC28‐AS1 promotes the progression of cervical cancer by targeting miR‐377‐3p
AbstractAimCervical cancer (CC) is the fourth most common malignancy affecting women worldwide and has a poor prognosis. The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical significance and mechanism of TTC28‐AS1 in CC.MethodsA total of 120 individuals suffering from CC were included in this study. RT‐qPCR was used to detect the level of TTC28‐AS1, and the prognostic value of TTC28‐AS1 was analyzed by Kaplan–Meier curve and Cox regression analyses. Dual‐Luciferase reporter assay was used to verify the targeting relationship between TTC28‐AS1 and miR‐377‐3p. The proliferative ability of CC cells was detected by CCK‐8 kit. The migration and invasion of CC cells were detected by transwell system.ResultsThe expression level of TTC28‐AS1 was elevated in patients with CC, serving as an indicator of unfavorable clinical outcome. TTC28‐AS1 may promote the proliferation, migration, and invasion of CC cells by targeting miR‐377‐3p.ConclusionsTTC28‐AS1 has the potential to promote the malignant progression of CC by targeting miR‐377‐3p, thus emerging as a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of CC.
